Small world!
Yep - we closed on her the other weekend. Should be some pictures in one of the threads here.

Did you end up buying a 1981 Hunter?

Nothing yet. We were out of town last week. The doc called me Saturday and he was out of town and had not received the results. We are of the opinion that if it were bad, they would have found a way to get in touch with the doctor. Still, would be nice for Path to do their job.

Thanks for asking. BTW, he does have a nice little scar to show for this! The doctor suggested plastic surgery because it is on his face, but we thought about leaving it. He can tell the other kids that he got it as war wounds for not respecting him.... or somthing like that. Not sure his older brother is going to buy it though!!!!

Thanks, Brian. I'm also of the opinion that bad news travels fast so I'll rest more easily, at least for now. I'd encourage the plastic surgery, which I wouldn't have twenty years ago, for one reason. While the scar may look not out of place or conspicuous now, or twenty years from now, it will when he's fifty. This is one area where the mothers, who hate to see their children deformed in the least way, are probably correct. I'd defer to the "Mom view" from the neck up. From the neck down you can hold sway and perhaps realize some residuals from photographs published in the medical journals.

Kilowatt is on a distinguished road
To all of AFOC ... HI! Haven't been on sailnet since Feb 2008!!!! WTF was I thinking?!

Am still smiling, even as I write this greeting. Hope all is well with you, especially those I met in Chicago at the Sailboat Show. If I ever get enough posts out here, I'll post my pix from that fun occasion!

Summer is weird! High today of 66?! I am not going out on the Laser in that! Not today! Lots of rain this year and little heat (so far). August is just around the corner. (mid-MO)

Fall regatta won't start up until early September ... *sigh* ...

I have a premonition that soars on silver wings,
It is a dream of your accomplishment
Of many wondrous things,
I do not know beneath which sky
Or where you'll challenge fate,
I only know it will be high,
I only know it will be GREAT!
