Coast guard photo

Thought you might enjoy this shot of the Coast Guard doing drills off Ocean Beach. I only wish I had been there to surf! (yeah right ).

Poop - you a surfer? Think you could make that left corner before it closes out?

My 6 year old has decided that he wants to either be a Marine Biologist or a Coast Guard. (last year it was baseball player, so the salaries are apparently dropping as he gets older ). I gotta show him this pic, but it will probably just make him more excited about doing it, he doesn't have a lot of sense....

These guys go out there just about every week in the big stuff during the winter. I could see them from the roof top, four boats. Saw one get knocked down, tower in the water. Popped right back up, everyone strapped in, no problem. It gets me as excited as MY six year old gets for mac and cheese.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Those are great pics. I was a step away from joining the Coast Guard in my Lost Days. Those pictures get my blood going, though I'm not too sure about the rollover thing.

yes, usually when the USCG is chasing you, thinking that you're a terrorist because you launched another grill into space...

More like a tsunami set off by some sort of gas explosion.
