ALERT! Giu Lost race and broke boom

Everyone,

I really did not want to post this as I knew it would be a embarrasment to my friend. But, I had to go ahead and post the picture explaining how Giu broke his boom. He is right, it could not be helped. He was racing a very fine yacht which was captained by the world's finest skipper (er, hm, me). I knew none of you would believe it, so I went ahead and posted the unmistakeable proof.

THe winds were howling that day. I told him to reef across the VHF, but he did not listen. He was trying desperately to catch up. This time is cost him. That is me, crossing the finish line.

I do feel terrible about posting this. No reall, I feel just terrible.

So Dad,
how is it that the wind is blowing in two different directions?
Looks like his boom is on the Starbord side reaching and your sails are on Port. I don't get that. Must have been some confusing winds that day.

In fact from the wave indicators, your going backwards.

Chrondi. Yes, it is flying. Giu has poor camera quality, what can I say? Are you accusing me of Photobucketing him!! Please. Here, I can prove it. Here is a better shot after the race:

TJK,

That was how Giu did the accidental jibe. I was correctly reading the weather.

Sir,
You are by far the best Captain I have ever meet.
You defy all the laws of physics and make you boat move really fast when others say it is impossible. I only hope to be half as good as you when I grow up.

Let it be known this day that you, Cruising Dad, are the best .

With upmost respect,
Sailor Tim

Don't get me started. LOL

You guys are still at it over there, too funny.

G must be in the air and on his way to Brazil, otherwise he would have been on here to defend himself. Oh well, the photoshop is coming as soon as he lands.

Shot from the French Press aboard Giulietta

The French don't want this one released, but I feel it is my duty. THis was just before he lost the race to me.
