When I was 15 I visited Florida with a pal. Stayed in a trailer park north of Orlando. Bought a red Schwinn racer...first decent "adult" bike I'd bought new...and I like bikes nearly as much as boats! I cycled from that trailer park to Daytona Beach and back...Florida's so flat and narrow it is easily done by a fit teen (as I was in 1977...) there and back in a day, especially on a new bike.

I saw the same weird combination of beautiful homes and literal shacks with extremely poorly clothed people milling about them. I couldn't even tell if some places had electricity, they looked so poor. Then I hit Daytona Beach around 2 P.M., ate lunch and basically zoomed back before dark fell.

I didn't really want to be in rural Florida when dark fell.

Bermuda30 is on a distinguished road
I live in New Bern 6 months out of the year (School/work rotation). When I get back there in June, I'm bringing the boat down from Moyock, probably to the Sheridon. It's an alright town, has almost everything you need on three streets, and if you know the right places, it's very enjoyable.

Cam, don't know if you've gotten any nibbles on the boat yet, but if you're bringing her to Annapolis to list with a broker, you may want to time it to get in on this:

Thanks Eryka...tight time-table for me...but sounds like a great opportunity. Will see if I can make it. Appreciate the tip!
