It Help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a less then 90 day old laptop with a cable high speed connection. For the past few weeks, web pages take forever to load, often go to that refresh your page or check your settings page. I have windows defender & Mcafee and they say everything is fine, but it isn't. It's becoming a real pain. Any ideas ?

Guesser is on a distinguished road
Do a control-alt-delete and look under applications and processes. See if anything is running that shouldn't be or that is using way to much of your CPU. A lot of times it will be a USB peripheral , like your printer. I assume you have already re-booted your modem? (with your computer off)

If you've got ad-blocking software on, that can often cause pages to load very slowly... Also, you should run task manager and see what processes are running, as Guesser stated, but check also to see if there are any processes running that you don't recognize... of course, if you're a relative novice, this is going to be less useful than if you have an idea of what should be happening.

Most new computers have a lot of junk software running on them, demo ware, etc... that isn't really necessary. I would personally recommend you ditch Windows Defender and McAfee, and load ZoneAlarm Security Suite instead.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Is your modem wireless or cable connection ?
