My wife is the clean freak of this operation. I hired cleaning service for a year as a gift, and her favorite part of the gift is going through the house after they're done & finding dust.

One of us would end up overboard if we tried living aboard for more than a week.

The woman I married was about as easy going as anyone I've ever met... she was the most gracious person I'd ever met as well. She didn't cook, and that drove my mother-in-law crazy... but I didn't care... Most days, I'm still amazed that she chose me to marry. I miss her every day.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Tiger Regis, They could stand for anything you like. Originally the T stood for Townes, my little homage to my all time musical hero the late great Townes van Zandt. The D ? Whatever. Devil is fine for an antipodean atheist.

Hummmm.......

Accoring to an Aussie skipper who used to work for me, Wombats don't get married. They "Eat, Root, and Scoot" advise he claimed would do well for humans as well. Of course he was recently divorced when he passed this "wisdom " on to me.

Actual line is "eats roots shoots and leaves".

The other line is "nose to the ground like a dead wombat" which if you observe the previous pic of the snorer is quite apt.

Thanks TD, my memory isn't quite perfect, and that may very well be what was said. After hours, when we would trade storys, there would be a bit of elbow bending involved and my ears would tend to slur the words.

An Australian who over indulges in spirituous liquor ? Not possible. Nothing stronger than the odd cup of tea ever passes our lips.
