punjabi is on a distinguished road
I can't stand overly busy avatars that distract the eye.

Blaming the avatar is much like blaming the weapon when someone gets shot right? Get it?

My pet peeve is people who can't ignore the off topic thread and complain about it because it is not sailing related. DUH!! In creating the off topic thread we preserved the traditional forums for those who only wish to talk about sailing topics.
What is REALLY funny is that YOU are posting in PET PEEVES in the OFF TOPIC forum which is clearly NOT sailing related!!
Unfortunately Cam, your right about posting in this thread, but what should I do...just keep my trap shut? Probably should have it seems! So where do suggest I post my comment?

Please tell me then how I could hit the "new post" button and not have to filter through all the crap?

Let me emphasize that I don't have issue with the off topic thread so to speak (as I once stated), but more the AMOUNT of political and other non sailing related crap posted on a "sailing" forum. I enjoy Giu's photo shopping, CD's love affair with grilling, and so on, but most of the time they have some link to sailing.

Logging onto Sailnet has become a daily activity for me, and a enjoyable one, but when off topic threads (of political, religious, etc content) become so prominent it gets old, IMO. I think many here would share the same view, maybe not, and I am just a uptight xxx. I get enough of the crap when I turn on the radio, when I pick up a paper, when I turn on the TV, so Sailnet becomes a nice distraction for me, so I thought.

I don't expect anything to change here, just voicing my pet peev!!!

I suppose if you have it your way Camaraderie, I will soon be gone and end up spending more time with my kids, not such a bad idea.
