Well new one was free, AND.....they will repair the old one, and send it to me as a spare!!!!!!!!!!!!

They say it will be only aprox 1kg heavier, due to inside sleeve where it broke, and rewoven, and re-cooked where it failed..

HArdly noticeable, they say, except for 2 vertical lines where they cut.

Once it arrives...new one will be stored, and old one put in service. Just need to buy the fittings and accessories. Since they are cutting it...I might extend her 1.5 feet to accomodate a larger main!!

Giu -- Great to have a spare in your pocket, so to speak. And yes, go for a bigger main! I know an old salt in Annapolis who says, when in doubt, add more sail until you can't see the whites of their eyes (well, more or less something like that.) Of course, here in Maryland we have the log canoes -- testiments to that philosophy. Half the crew has to climb out on hiking boards to keep the boats afloat because their sailplans are so large. Awesome boats to see.

The idea is to hava the boom with 24 feet, and increase roach on one particular sail. Wanna know why??? MALTA!!! does that ring a bell??

SD...even broken, my boat's parts are too noble to be used on your Tripod

OK GOOD NEWS...NEW BOOM IN PLACE..All good..she's so so so pretty with a boom....

We have lfinnally loaded boat with vacation stuff, water, food, Freds DVD's...wife's stuf...we're off in a few hours...

So I will talk to you guys later!! Maybe Tuesday...
