Ex-Moderator

I have had a few e-mails and queries here on line about my change in status so to satisfy everyone's curiosity...here's the deal.
I resigned last Friday as moderator due to a difference of opinion on some technical changes in the moderator's role here. There was no "incident" that precipitated it and the decision was mine. I simply spend too much time here to be unhappy with the work environment for an unpaid, volunteer position so I decided I would rather just be a member again. No hard feelings...the folks at sailnet are nice people and entitled to run their business practices as they see fit.
I am happy once again to be a regular member who can now tell Giu what I really think of him!!
Thanks for all your concern and it has been a pleasure riding herd on you idiots with asses full of crap!!

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Ditto all the above Cam. Your term, though short-lived was well accepted from this end.

Now, can we elect a moderator?

If we could, I'd nominate Alex (Giulietta), mainly due to his superb ability to break things, and his uncommon restraint and understatement. He has demonstrated his humility on all the forums, across all threads, and across oceans.

Cam -- I just realized.......does this mean the porn will stay on the boards longer??????????????????

And I second the nomination for Giu! Good choice, Ian.
