The Hi-Life

Okay, we have been house/dog sitting in one of the "fancy" neighborhoods in San Francisco. I ran a bath for my son, and the admiral grabs a remote from the window sill and pushes the "on" button. What happens? The TV behind the two way mirror on the wall turns on, thats what happens. Look in the upper right corner of the mirror. Thats my son watching spongebob. The Hi-life.

Oh Gawd BF now you've done it. Now, along with the gps, the watermaker, five fridges, ice maker, bow thruster, a washing machine and a wombat launcher no boat will be complete without a two way mirror with inbuilt idiot box. Indispensible equipment, no doubt.

ps - what happens when the mirror steams up ?

I think the bathroom is too damn big to get steamed up. And how did you know I was trying to figure out a way to apply my new found knowledge to the boat?

Did you say San Francisco? I think that tub was the mold for my boat about forty years ago. Don't 'spose you're interested in spraying it down with a little mold release for a project of mine are you? After the junior mariner disembarks of course.

Is a Dalai Wombat higher or lower than a Dalai Llama?? I would say lower, since they're much shorter critters..

Soul Searcher- If you could had a boat big enough to fit a tub that size in the head compartment, it would be a good start. Even on a Caliber 40LRC, I think that would be a touch large to fit. Of course, you'd want to mount it on gimbals so that the tub is usable on both tacks...

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

This might mean nothing to the non-North Americans on the list, but I realized yesterday that the Dalai Lama's speaking voice is an uncanny blend of Yoda from Star Wars and "Robert", the brother from "Everybody Loves Raymond".

Oh, well, back to the boat. Launched the old one yesterday, now off to get sanding and painting supplies for the big new metal one, launching in eight days.

S.D. I like it a gimbaled tub! The missus Is only 4ft 12in (with her sneakers on)so I dont need a full size one. I was thinking the quarter birth but I would have to move the water heater. and try to find room for the pump and the jets.
