blt2ski will become famous soon enough
I did not have the problem with MIL or my mom showing up at the first two births, MIL was there for 3rd, my mom in spirit for the 3rd. 1st by the way was twins. Which mom found out she had cancer the week before we figured out we were having twins......did that all make sense? Mom went from cancer is going to kill me at 45 like her mom, to I am going to live to see them graduate from HS and college......she made it 6 yrs to 49. Will not go into the 6 cops at mom's and step dads house and why because of EE on that day, too dang depressing! She shoulda been locked in jail that day!

Joys of Ex's..........

Well I took the Mom's Sailing on Saturday.
North winds at 20knotts, Sloppy L. Michigan chop at about 3 - 5 feet.
My Mom is 76 years old; she did everything I asked her to do. I got her situated sitting comfortably in the cockpit on the low side. She enjoyed herself.
My Mother-in-law is 65 years old. She would not listen to a thing anybody told her. She insisted on sitting where she could not hold on and was scared for her life. I looked at her at one point and she had the look on her face that she felt she was about to die.
Of course I didn't help by saying, "What happens if we get lost out here." "This sure is a big lake" "Julie do you know how to get back?"
We were charging along at 7 knotts, breaking through the chop and having a great time, well I was anyway. Needless to say, my mother-in-law insisted that we turn back. I was reluctant.
We had a nice 1 hour sail.

tjk- You're a good man for taking your mum and the outlaw sailing. Unfortunatly, you're an ass full of crap for talking about it!!!! I'm still 11 days from going in the water!

Sailor....poor you...I feel sorry for you...

My mother is nice, she doesn't come near a boat...in fact...you say the word boat near her, she starts vomiting!!!!

The mother in law, she likes boats, but is allways busy so can't come...

In a way...I am lucky....I guess....

Good news....Mother's day will be only 364 days away...so you can sail in between!!!

There's a reward for you somewhere tjk. I suspect it's probably not a nice set of Zeiss binoculars, and you'll probably have to go heaven to collect, but a reward no doubt. I've considered using my MIL for practising MOB drills. "One more time Mom, and then we'll pick you up!"

Well I can't believe another year has passed.
I guess that means that I am another year older.
I hate when that happens.

Both Mom's are coming again this year just like last year.
This is becoming our anual thing.
Sailing on Saturday and Bruch on Sunday.

We are looking forward to a fun time again.

TK

Tim,

I took your advice last year. I took her sailing. They bought a boat bigger than mine and now I have no inheritance. Thanks a lot, Pal. Next time you buy at IHOP.

HEHE!

Hope you guys are doing well,

Brian

That's not so bad. You did always express a desire to someday learn how to sail. Now there's a boat available to do so on.
