Isn't Islam devil worship? Isn't the 'allah' they call god actually the ancient pagan moon god with the three daughters? Doesn't anyone in Canada know this? Doesn't anyone know the origin of the islamic crecsent shape with the star is allah on the moon?

Just wondering. I'm pretty sure it's all just a pagan hate thing used to force ignorant people to do what you want them to do. That's why most people in muslim countries are not allowed to be educated.

Just, you know, a few thoughts. I wonder if I'll get death threats.

No, not pagan at all. Islam (literally translated as "submission") is exactly the same as Christianity. One new fellow came along, declared himself to be a new prophet with divine knowledge of what God really wanted, and declared all the old ways to be wrong.

This is why Islam has the unique phrase "Children of the Book" referring to the fact that all three religions are based on "the god of Abraham" but there's significant disagreement about the many revisions that have been made in the worship of that god.

The Talmud, the Hasidim, the many Christian Reforms, and Islam all bear little to no relation to the original religion they all claim the be the Sole And Proper Heir of. Islam goes one better, by repeating many times in the Koran that anyone who tampers with the official Book shall burn in fire forever after. Apparently Mohammed was one of the first to admit the old Testament had been heavily, and sometimes crudely, redacted many times. By the Kings, the Priests, the Judges, the Rabbis...whoever was in power and literally owned the sacred texts at the time.

Better to choose PBS as an example, or the "History Channel". Both are under the control of the lying wackjobs of the extreme way-out Left. Limbaugh has a little radio show that very few people hear.

Phyllis...

Pffft, we were the only Jews I knew that had Ham on Yom Kippur, and Corned beef on Christmas.

1) First, and foremost, I am American. Note: not a jewish american, but american, plain and simple.

2)My mothers parents had those funny numbers tattooed on their forearms.

My father would say "tell me boy, what jew do you know that would stand to be lost for more than 4 minutes, much less 40 years?" to which my mother would smile and say "virgin birth, yea, right".

I don't care if you're jew or gentile, an ass or a schmuck. If you raise a hand to me or my brothers, be prepared to get it smacked off. I'm not going to negotiate with a moron, he'll bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.

I wholeheartedly believe that if we, as americans had the balls to say "eff you" we're taking our 15.9 Billion, yea, with a "B" of aid this year, not counting the corporate pot of cash that they send and putting it squarely into our defense budget, these tinhorn whack-jobs with a cause would sit down and shut the hell up... reference? Libya... he's been strangely silent as of late. It might have been that he saw the writing on the wall?

While I'm on a rant... Whatever God-you-happen-to believe-in forbid, that you point a gun in my hairy butts direction. Ever heard the sound of an A-10 Warthog at about 200 feet? Try hearing Al-Jazeera when that bad boy is flying over your mudhut.

and for what its worth,
I lost a nephew in Iraq on thanksgiving day, 2005.
He was 32, a 13 yr vet on his second tour.
He had signed up for a third.
Guest Book - Staff Sgt. Steven C. Reynolds

His Father served. His Fathers Father served. His Fathers Fathers Father... served.
3 of his Uncles, 4 of his cousins... served. (and thats just on his dads side, his moms side also served.)

Bob Dylan said “I think of a hero as someone who understands the degree of responsibility that comes with his freedom.”

I couldn't, heart murmer, plus if you couldn't tell I'm a bit of a cranky cuss. So, I spent years working for GE, writing NC programs to cut turbine blades for jet engines. Then went into telecom and net security(I digress)

My son, who is 16, says he wants to serve.

Why do they serve? Almost to a man all enlisted (had an Annapolis Man). They chose to serve for the same basic reasons. They realized it was a sense of duty. Because of what their parents and grandparents went thru, they owed it to their family, to their country to make sure they did their part.

Before I'm labeled as a right wing whack-o, I don't listen to limbaugh. I do think for myself. I read 3 papers a day, yea CNN and Fox too, PBS and the BBC. When I want a couple of laughs, I tune into NPR. Unlike some politicos, I would rather see something done other than talk about how the "other side screwed up". A troop pull out ain't it.

Nukes? no... Shimmy down in the mud and strap bombs to my masked face while boarding a full bus? no... thats Chicken shite. Show your face if you're so damn proud of yourself.

Give them an ultimatum. On this date, we're going to make this town a rubble pile. If the shite doesn't end, then on this date we're going to do the same to this town... If you ain't gettin' the message yet bub, the next town becomes a victim of smoke technology 24 hours later. Got it?
Then, actually do it. It wouldn't take long for the zealots to re-think their priorities. If they want to be martyrs, I say we help 'em out anyway we can.

Some, gave all.

I need a nap.

Hawkeye,
If I read your second to last correctly, I'd refer you to Will Rogers, "Broad-minded is just another way of saying a fellow's too lazy to form an opinion." My own version goes something like, "It's ok to have an open mind. Just be careful what drives through it."

CapeCodPhyllis,
Anti-semitism, whether masked or not as anti-Zionism, is just as reprehensible in conservatives as it is in liberals. Being a conservative myself, I find it more odious fom one who claims similar status. Furthermore, I believe it to be un-American. This thread is on "Islamism", not Islam, a distinction not without merit. The anti-religous comments by many do more to shed light on their issuers than they do the subject at hand. The anti-semetic ones being particularly odious and the proximate cause of Israel's attitude of "Never Again". I also find the disparagement of Israel interesting as it is harder to find a more loyal ally of the US, including Britain and Australia. Cardiac was too gentle by half.

tdw,
Is the old Wombat so rheumatoid arthritic that he dismisses the author out of hand, with no comment on the article's points. Surely this is not the menacing marsupial we've come to fear. Methinks I detect a certain melancholy in our Wombat Warrior of late. No doubt the tangible result of the inability to frolic with a certain bluebottle upon the Portagee Main. Come to think of it, I'm a bit green of tommy and Val myself. Don't tell Giu.

I must keep reminding myself that the Canadian's are entitled to their own ridiculous opinion. Compassion is best achieved by a careful consideration of their dereistic Frenchness.

I have no quarrel with Islam per se, but a sense that the Islamists must be repressed, if not exterminated.

You're not a 'conservative' you're a 'neoconservative'. And thanks for comparing me to Pat Buchanan. I consider that a compliment, although it certainly wasn't meant to be.

Yeah, Buchanan and I have done the unthinkable: dare mention the brutal pressure that AIPAC and other Zionist organizations are using to push us into another crappy war. I claim the right to do so as I have two sons in the combat zone - you know - that's the place where you never-in-a-million-years will find an American Zionist. Do you deny it? Think you can dismiss it by calling me antisemitic or a self-hating Jew? Please explain why Zionists always run their mouths, hide, and watch.

Seen the movie 300? Notice the propaganda? Know who produced and directed it? Oops, there I go again - more "antisemitism". I'm not supposed to notice stuff like that. Or if I do, I'm not supposed to mention it. Go get 'em goyim! Kill them dang Persians fer Israel!

I gotta better idea. Let ISRAEL attack Iran. Israel has the largest air and tank force in the world. I understand they have more than 20,000 battle tanks, and, according to the Jerusalem Post, are capable of flying more sorties than all of the combined forces of the United States.

And you're right, I have no sense of humor concerning the subject. If my kids die in Iran, there will be HELL TO PAY.

phyllis,
your sons are Honorable Men.
THEY VOLUNTEERED.
No Mullah prayed with them and convinced them to strap some explosives to their butt and blow up a library.
In my humble opinion, when you volunteer, you don't get the right to say.. "oh, no, don't put me in harms way" or "The military was a good choice till they asked me to pick up a gun"

What, did they do it for the college tuition?
Theres a reason why they fella's with a couple of stripes issue out guns and those kevlar hats during the basic training.
Sooner or later they're going to expect you to get shot at, and shoot back.

"Let ISRAEL attack Iran"...
Now there's a good idea!! My guess is that they will someday when the potentisal threat from Iran becomes a real one.
In the meantime I fully support Sailaway and CP's take on things. We (meaning US and the rest of the world) need to squeeze the mullahs hard and make everyday Iranians feel so much economic pain that they throw the bums out.

"We (meaning US and the rest of the world) need to squeeze the mullahs hard and make everyday Iranians feel so much economic pain that they throw the bums out."
You REALLY NEED TO READ THE KORAN. Doing so will reveal to you very simply why that strategy only makes the Imams stronger and makes the West "wronger" and more in need or extermination by the Jihadis. (In their point of view.)
Or don't you remember what happened in Iraq between the Gulf "War" and the latest military incursion? The more the US repressed the country, the more praise the people had for their leader who resisted us. APPLYING WESTERN LOGIC TO EASTERN TRIBAL PEOPLES WILL NOT WORK. You might as well sit down and explain to your dog why he should wash his paws after going out for a walk. He sees your mouth working, but it all says "wah wah wah, wah, wahwah" from his point of view.

Personally, I think that if every literate westerner (forgot the hoi polloi, they're hopeless anyway in any culture) simply read the Koran...We'd go play whack-a-mole and end the Islamic Problem in short order.

Fine line: I'm not saying end Islam, just the Islamic Problem.
