All I can tell you is that before the days of CAD/CAM design and tank testing, not a single Tartan 34 has ever lost a spar as a result of design, or needed to have keel weight added, or moved, or changes made in the rudder. (And Hull #1 still won the first race they entered it in.)

yes....but in those days there were only 3 or 4 boats in the water, the Cuttysark was still sailing, Vasco Da Gama retired, people wiped their asses to stones and boat speed.....well that was never higher than hull speed or wind.
Apples to apples....

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Four, as in—
Quote:
| 4 | 11-16 | Moderate Breeze | Small waves 1-4 ft. becoming longer, numerous whitecaps | Dust, leaves, and loose paper lifted, small tree branches move |

SHAME SHAME SHAME.....
You, then....dear "upsidedown" are a liar a BIG LIAR!!!!!, as that photo was posted by you, as being you, in rough weather....in a thread about bad weather.....so you lied...and since its not you, no proof can me now made that you were indeed there.....
Here in Portugal we say its easier to spot a man lieing than a man with a limp.....no lie will ever last....LIAR LIAR LIAR.....shame on you.....
please, appologise your friend on my behalf, ...you know...the one with balls to sail in rough weather, the brave man (not you).....whom I photoshopped by accident, being in true belief it was you.....deception....deception....SIMONV lied...that was not him after alll....ohh well....
what to expect from a man whose Country was founded by criminals and outlaws England did not want????....deception....deception...lie and deception....
We, dear "upsidedown" the Portuguese, pee standing up, like real man we are, for we, do not post photos of others in bad weather saying it was us.....
also....as far as bullets missing and shots....
Since the photoshop I did was not you, the score is even, (one to one) I took only one shot at you, the other one was to the brave friend you have...the one that sails in bad weather...since you...well despite you saying you took the photo, there is no proof you were there, and with me....lie once...allways a liar!!!! Call it collateral damage....
So even if you now comeback with other photos and other proof of who you are.....our battle of photoshop is over....I only fight true gentlemen...that keep up to their actions and name and honour.....
Please, send me a photo of the sofa from where you sail, will you????
Signing out from this battle, Alex wins on honour, Simon looses on lack of.....
