Our father day is March 19th (St. Joseph's day, father of Jesus).

Why is yours now??

My kids are in a phase of their life where all the things they cook has sand and is imaginary!!!

They are in a "feed me now" phase....Fred made me a bread, bread and bread sandwich once....

My wife offered to make me a **** sandwich yesterday. Not so tasty. After one of those, washed down with a very curious tasting lemonade, I'd had my fill.

Halyard.....line used to hoist a sail. Also used to tension the sail so it does not have horzontal wrinkles!!!!

Man...... that's like looking down at your friend while he is squating, and seeing his butt crack coming out of his shorts.....

Happy Fathers day to all here.

It was raining here, again, as ususal (in the news with all the damned flooding). BUT I DID NOT CARE!!! I said we were going regadless. No pictures, but we ended up having lots of fun. We pulled the kids and dogs in the intertube (until the bulldog jumped out... I will explaing in a second), swimming on the shore which is about 10 feet higher than usual and covered in a nasty black mud, and shored the dink and listened to a band playing (until we got rained out).

Might sound like a bad weekend to others... but it was great to me. I find I relax on the boat better than anywhere else!

As far as the bulldog: We can't find a lifejacket to fit her (yet) because she is so short and fat - but we took her with us. SHe did not like the kids being pulled, and kept standing on the side of the dink... until - SPASH! She went under, and for what seemed hours we could not see her. ALl of a sudden she came back up and was swimming around. We called her, but she did not want to swim to us... she was having fun??? THis is an English bulldog - not known for their swimming abilities. However, this mut can swim!!! SHE LOVES IT! Went to the shore and she kept swimming out to the kids. Crazziest thing I ever saw. THis dog even sticks here head under the water and starts rooting for things in the mud??? HAHA! Oh well, must be brain damaged. Probably too many scraps from the grill, huh? (smile).

- CD

PS TB - How about we hook up Chase and your daughter? He is 7... a little young, and does not like girls unless they like throwing a baseball... but hey! He has not met her yet. Very pretty young lady. You should be proud. Nice family.

Yeah Giu . . . I know my butt crack was showing - didn't know you were into that sort of stuff, my observant friend!

Actually, my wife's getting more confidence in sailing. So, after she offered to raise the main yesterday, I didn't want to criticize her loose halyardwork by going forward to tighten the luff (we have mast-mounted halyard winches, so main halyards don't lead to cockpit).

Thanks for the compliments guys . . . CD, you're right that Chase is a little young for her, but definitely a safe date.
