Attachments

Every Time I try to add an attachment, it fails. I've shrunk the file size, reduced the size of the photo, and checked all the settings that I thought could be causing the trouble. Have you guys had any trouble, if so what did you do to correct it.

I don't know nothin' about it but, if you hit "forums" and go all the way to the bottom, there is a sailnet website technical assistance forum, and I'll bet your answer will be found there. the only reason i can operate this thing is the keyboard is the same as a typewriter.

What do you mean by attachment? Are you trying to insert an image into the dialog? Or on your User Page? Or what?

To insert a pic, it has to have a url or http: address. You obtain this by putting it on a site like photobucket.

Thanks Guys, I'll check into photo bucket. I had thought if it was small enough that I could just attach it, but that doesn't seem to be functioning any more.

Dan...if the photo meets specs and is sitting on your own computer you CAN attach it.
1. Reply using the Go Advanced Function
2. Scroll down to manage attachments button
3. Go to the BROWSE button and find the file you want and click upload
4. Once the file uploads...come back to your message window and click on the PAPER CLIP icon above and then the name of your attachment file. Yous hould now have an attachment that shows up in your message like this one of Giu!! (G)

Cam, I went to another forum and was able to attach with no problem. Is it possible that the administrators don't have my attachment feature tuned on? If so who would I talk to about that.

dj - I gave up on trying to post attachments directly onto sailnet. For some reason, no matter what I do, it won't take them. I can't even start an album in the gallery. So, instead, you need to do this: http://www.sailnet.com/forums/111087-post.html
