Why do that when you can live on your boat and disconnect from the grid. The Admiral can peddle the bike to power the potters wheel, make all the pots you want.

chris_gee is on a distinguished road
There are 14 articles in that link. Of them Stein is the most rah rah. Rah rah and oops are features of the market. Others make some useful points if one runs to analysis rather than looking for instances to support one's position.

It's Sunday and I am going over last weeks charts. Looks like Wall Street might have a really tough week this week.

Good call.

Again, no matter what kind of leverage is pulled, consumers are being restricted from credit, and confidence is down.

Somewhere in Vegas, a bookie is giving odds on whether it will hit 10,000 by New Years. Maybe we should start a couple of betting pools here?

For how soon it hits 11,000, and how low it goes by New Years?

Well, that was a fun day of trading.

It appears that the Fed was well aware of the issues that some have brought up in this forum during an Aug. 7 meeting......hmmmmm. They pumped and loosened all last week, but then the news comes out and we are about in the same boat with one days trading. Oh what will tomorrow bring? That was a pretty steep loss in late trading.

You all really think it's going to 11,000? We are definitely heading for a world of **** here in the next few months, but the Dow was trading at those levels several years before the credit irregularities really started, and well before the real estate bubble started to inflate.

My bet: It goes under 12,000 IN A HURRY -- two, three weeks tops. From there on it inches, very slowly, to 12,500 by year's end.
