Sailorman- regarding a statement you made about Canada mastering capitalism. In my opinion I think that a more accurate way of stating it would be "the reality is that we have abandoned capitalism to a point where we have burdened our citizenry with universal socialism". Not everyone regards socialized medicine as a step in the right direction, although Canadas' system is better than most I grant you.

No - I am aware that a significant segment of your population believes it honourable to let their fellow citizens die of easily treatable ailments because they have committed the great sin of poverty.

You honestly think health care isnt rationed in the US? Please. If you can pay then you are OK. If not, then go ahead and be sick or die. Even wounded vets dont get care they need. We ration by ability to pay.

Apology-I didn't mean to divert the thread onto the subject of healthcare. Just couldn't handle the doublespeak; "mastering" capitalism by resorting to "socialism". Just doesn't work for me no matter how I try to twist it. Sorry. Please continue.
