Sailormann will become famous soon enough

Sailorman- regarding a statement you made about Canada mastering capitalism. In my opinion I think that a more accurate way of stating it would be "the reality is that we have abandoned capitalism to a point where we have burdened our citizenry with universal socialism". Not everyone regards socialized medicine as a step in the right direction, although Canadas' system is better than most I grant you.
No - I am aware that a significant segment of your population believes it honourable to let their fellow citizens die of easily treatable ailments because they have committed the great sin of poverty.

There's a whole thread devoted to the rationing of health care in Canada and the cost of health care in the US; this ain't it.

You honestly think health care isnt rationed in the US? Please. If you can pay then you are OK. If not, then go ahead and be sick or die. Even wounded vets dont get care they need. We ration by ability to pay.

Apology-I didn't mean to divert the thread onto the subject of healthcare. Just couldn't handle the doublespeak; "mastering" capitalism by resorting to "socialism". Just doesn't work for me no matter how I try to twist it. Sorry. Please continue.

Health care? You guys don't even want to go there.

Try these graphs for a reality fix. The first one looks great... until you look at the 2nd one.

but then ...OOps.....

And of course no post of mine would be complete without a little more reality...

WASHINGTON - It’s no longer a question of recession or not. Now it’s how deep and how long.
Workers’ pink slips stacked ever higher in March as jittery employers slashed 80,000 jobs, the most in five years, and the national unemployment rate climbed to 5.1 percent. Job losses are nearing the staggering level of a quarter-million this year in just three months.

Nah, but I was sailing all day.

You remember sailing, don't you? A boat, wind out of the SE at 20 knots, and a pretty girl...All in all a good day.
