Thumbs up Huge Stinkpot = Huge Accident...

This is great, just great. I was amazed at the ultimate stupidity it took to do this.

I believe the bridge operator caused that accident, not the captain of the boat. Those things don't exactly stop on a dime.

Here's another website much in the same vein... a tugboat goes under a bridge that is way too low for it.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

no kidding... that really sucks. I've heard that there was an accident like this before where the captain dropped anchors to try to stop faster and tore the chains through the focsle and hull sides.... hahaha

That tug is amazing. Complete roll under a bridge and he made it!

Yikes! That drawbridge sure spoiled their cruising plans.

As an off-topic question, I've often wondered how you post a Youtube video link, without including the whole webpage? Is there a special code, or is there a Youtube button that does it automatically?

AFAIK, it wasn't a roll, just a knockdown to 90˚ and recovery. The going under a bridge part had to have scared the crap out of him though.

I don't think a tanker qualifies as a stinkpot...I like tankers, we need tankers, they give jobs to a lot of people, and considering the amount of tankers in the water today they don't have as many negligence accidents as the stinkpots, aka Sea Rays and cousins...
