USPIRATE,

The wife and I just won a trip to Vegas! Never been there. I was excited about seeing the swashbuckling fight with the pirate ship but somebody told me they changed it to dancing. Do you know anything about that? Dancing pirates? Please tell me they were pulling my leg.

wish i were, my avitar is of the original Treasure Island marquee http://farm1.static.flickr.com/47/11...0d2838.jpg?v=0 , they've changed it to very sad! the Pirate show was excellent. a British man o war sailing, hoisting the square rigging then discovering a pirate ship close by. a battle ensued, explosions everywhere, powder barrels exploding, a guy getting shot off of the crows nest and falling into the water, pirates swinging from the lines onto the British ship and eventually sinking it. it was an Excellent show. since they've changed it i don't bother to see it anymore. but the outside of the Hotel is still cool to look at!

I would go see it anyway, you will most likely enjoy it!

Thanks USP. Can't wait to see Vegas! I hope to see Elvis too. I wanted to get married there at the Elvis Chapel but the wife wouldn't have it. She opted for doing it on a 45 footer in Galveston Bay, which was almost as good.

Great! I'll send a note when we get a date for the trip. I used to live aboard (80's) at Galveston Yacht Basin. Good years. Very interesting history on that island.
