al Qaeda is defeated

You didn't read about this in your newspaper? It wasn't on TV? Not to worry, Michael Yon is on the ground in Iraq and here's the latest:

Didn't you see the big poster behind GWB on the aircraft carrier saying Mission Accomplished a while back?

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

That's great news, SA. It's heartening that the Iraqi tribes have defeated al Queda. Well, one can presume the 5 years, $800 Billion and 3,844 lives lost by this administration helped a little. So when can the troops come home???

Dawg -- only 3,705 soldiers lost their lives after that wonderful "mission accomplished" Kodak moment.

Mitch-

I was being very sarcastic... There really was no justifiable reason to invade Iraq IMHO. No WMDs. No ties to Al Qaeda. No exporting of Terrorism or supporting of Islamic Fundamentalism. No nuclear weapons. Just Oil.

Thanks so much for sharing Matt A major contribution there - so well thought-out, eloquently-phrased, subtle, yet rife with meaning. We are indeed richer for your comments...

Matt, relax man, I appreciate your service and support to your country (I am not American, ok? but support you guys at war, even if I don't agree with it, as we are NATO members and its our moral obligation to supoport the US, you would do the same to Portugal), but, you know...don't be hard on SD..he's OK.

Take it lightly man.OK? we're all here to have fun.

Now..did you really go to the war? I know a guy that lost his son there, and wish he never had gone...

Thank you
