What are they going to say when we win?

Things are rather quiet in the halls of Congress these days, at least when it comes to the war in Iraq. What do you say when the only news is good news, and you bet the farm on bad news? Most of the Democratic pols have figured out you shut-up while you're behind. This is not going over well with the Looney Left. Moveon.org is looking for relevance after that disasterous ad labeled "Generel Betrayus" and may have to change their name lest the average Joe start's thinking they're just one of Exlax's competitors. wonder who will be the first to say to Joe Lieberman, "I was wrong and you were right. Btw, will you campaign in my state with me?"

But don't believe me, you can read it for yourself:

Heck, they're depressed all over the place:

I think what "they" do is "move on" to the Patriot Act and get exorcised about how our liberties are being stripped away by the neo-con cabal and the grand viser Cheney with his mouthpiece GWB.

Those who are for conservation of our natural resources should be happy with the cost of gas. The last few days have seen a drop in crude oil prices because of unexpected high inventory levels. The levels were unexpectedly high because the high prices caused a slight drop in use.
We should be condemning iran & venezuela for arificially holding down the price of gas and causing easy consumption. I've read plenty of accounts of the popularity of big powerboats in venezuela.
Or you could complain to the taxman since the biggest chunk of the cost of gas is taxes.
Perhaps BushCheney want the war to go on to cause the price of gas to go up AND the dems want to retreat so iran will invade iraq and take over the oil wells and cause the price of gas to go up? Hey, one consipracy is as good as another!!!!

I love this.

George Bush is like the drunk that smashes your car into a tree and says "sure, it's easy to blame me, but how are YOU going to fix it?", then takes credit for the tow truck showing up.

The situation in Iraq is getting better, slowly. However, the fact of the matter remains that it's been a royal cluster-fck from Day 1. Don't go patting yourselves on the back; this could have been achieved years earlier if Bush and Cheney had listened to the military (Shinseki, anyone?) and given them the means to preserve the peace early on. But no, they tried to do it on the cheap. Remember Wolfowitz saying that the oil revenues would pay for the war?

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Charles Krauthammer on the same theme. Chuck says the Germans get it, the French get it, the Brits get it, and even eastern yurrup get's it. When are the Dems going to get it?
