HoffaLives is on a distinguished road
I'm not an idiot, but it ain't working

I'm having problems posting images. I upload the pic to a sever (Picasa) get the URL, put the URL between the HTML code, and when I post I get an active link rather than a displayed picture.

I'm running a mac and the site isn't mac-friendly, so is that it? It won't work at all on safari so I use firefox for mac instead..

Hoffmeister,

I'm on a PC. Sometimes the picture posting thingy works (I use photobucket) sometimes it doesn't. Buggered if I can work out what is going on but it is damnably irksome.

LOL... you may be using the wrong link... I use a Mac as well, but use Camino most of the time. It might be worth trying.. What version of Firefox are you using, and what OS are you running???

BTW, if you ever have a mac specific question, drop me a PM.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Even with Photobucket I have to relearn the process every time. Very frustrating.

I've had no trouble with photobucket. I just click on the IMG code under the pic in my album (that's an automatic copy function) and paste it into a post reply as is. No need to use the insert photo icon.

Hoffa,

I empathize. I AM pretty much a complete idiot with computers. It's a near miracle I figured out how to post a photo. I wish I could help you (I'm on a Mac too, using Safari and Explorer) but I've largely concluded it's just legerdemain, sortilege, black magic etc -- not susceptible to explanation.
