I just took a helicopter from Tuktoyaktuk, NW Territories to Victoria, BC. 5 days of beautiful country, friendly people and REAL beer.

That's a hell of a long copter ride, even with five refuellings. Why a copter?

I tend to read between the lines on those polls and what i read is that Americans are real happy that the Canadians are in Canada. (g)

Thanks for the kind thoughts, Sailormann. I did enjoy a nice Thanksgiving with the extended family, not to mention the viewing of yet another win by the Green Bay Packers, which all right thinking peoples know to be America's Team. The two week old diet did take a shot below the waterline so to speak though. I am currently debating whether an attempt to consume all of the left-overs in one weekend would make more sense diet wise versus spreading them out over a couple of weeks. Being the determined conservative that you cite, and thus firmly convinced of the imperfectability of man, I know that I am going to eat them, it's merely a matter of deciding the method. If consumed within the 48 hours in front of me I can put the matter to rest more quickly and get back about the business of attempting to extend my presence on this earthly veil or I can make the attempt at the immediate resumption of the diet which portends a meal at some point in the near future consisting entirely of cold, old sweet potatoes. Heady matters we deep poli-sci thinkers immerse ourselves in between football games, no?

We had to reposition one that was not needed for another contract. Yes it was quite a long way but I was fortunate to get to do it. We had long range tanks also.

Sway, you are such a self-aware paragon of rectitude, I think you might be a stalking horse for the Loony Left, or maybe the guy holding the mortgage on the farmhouse in the painting "American Gothic", which was also accused of satirical intent when first unveiled.

Of course, Democrats would say that, wouldn't they? Always demeaning the pioneer spirit!

I envy you. That's about the most dramatic and spectacular scenic route I think this country has to offer, unless it's flying from Baffin Island to Newfoundland via Labrador. And you got paid to do this delivery? That's what I call good life planning.
