Ignore list

If I put a name on the ignore list, do whole threads disappear or only the posts from the offender?

I'm pretty sure it's just posts by that individual; but I'm not certain.

Why don't you just try it? I believe ignored individuals are blocked, so, there's nothing to lose but what you want to ignore.

As a test, I added I33 to my ignore list (there's no one else on it) and came back to this thread. This is how post #1 looked:
