Knocked Up

Funny movie. If you have kids you'll like it. The language is pretty raw, which, for me, is like a breath of fresh air. And then there's the young actress who plays the lead... I think I'll just stop right there...

Isn't knocked up when your boat heels un-controllably?

What movie is that?

Alex,
Knocked Up is the title. Rent it. YOU will like it. Can't say that about everyone here, but YOU DEFINITELY WILL. If a movie can have a dirty mind but a good heart, then that's what it has.

We saw that movie a few weeks ago - daughter bought a copy and lent it to us. Somehow sh, I can picture you as the Ben Stone character . . . don't know why exactly.

Katherine Heigl has been a long legged hotty since her Disney movie when she was a teen. She also kept my heart going when she was on the scfi series "Roswell"

sh,
Sorry for the delay - but I was not ignoring your question. I was about to reply when my office guest, scheduled for 10:00, walked in at 10:20 - was nearly convinced he was a no-show. Just left, so back to more important things . . . .

I did like the movie, so'd my wife. But not at first, eventually warmed up to that clueless Ben Stone(r) character. I was really surprised the two main characters ended up seemingly happy. Ben, the clueless, never-grow-up party animal, was such a mis-match to the girl he knocked-up after that party . . . what was her name Alison?

I thought the story was great, but type-casting to be very unrealistic . . . what was she thinking?

My wife and I had EXACTLY the same reaction, my friend. I couldn't have expressed it more precisely. It's not often that we get to watch a movie, and when we do it usually turns out to be a complete waste of time. We watched the Da Vinci Code a while back... none for me, thanks. Anyway, this turned out to be a pleasant surprise, the lower-case objections you cited notwithstanding. So you take your pleasures where you find them...
