All I Want For Christmas

I can't think of many "things" that I want or need for Christmas. If there were a magic way of having any of my heart's desires and I could have whatever I wanted for Christmas though, my list would be longer than the traditional list of things that can be had from most department stores.
1) To see my mom hold each of my children just one time.
2) A memory as crisp as a camcorder for replaying the best moments of my life.
3) More time with my husband at home, less time with the outside world intruding.
4) More energy.
5) An honest, reliable literary agent who wants to represent me the first time I send out my novel--not the 366th which will be more likely...
6) More patience.
7) More sleep.
8) A sailboat and nice weather NOW--not in the spring...see item #6.
9) A quieter mind and better ablility to relax.
10) The ability to instantly take back any stupid or mean thing I've ever said.

anyone else? what would you ask for if you could have anything you wanted?

What G said goes for me too. It's all about family for me. I have been blessed far beyond what I deserve.

-oh, and an Oscar Meyer weenie whistle would be nice too.
Maybe one of those really nice chart plotters with a big enough screen to read in rough water. . . . -and good lottery numbers.

I pray that God's blessings come to my daughter. She's 19 and probably dealing with it better than I am. (g)

If I could have a wish though, it would be to have five minutes again with my Mom to tell her how proud I am to have been her son.

I have been very bless, and in the big scheme of things don't really want for much. I would like a new J105 to take my family out sailing... for their sake.

Not to divert this thread from the "World Peace and A Chicken In Every Pot" direction; but this leads me to another question about Christmas gifts.

I have been asked by friends and family who are not sailors; "What Do You Want For Christmas", meaning, sailing related.

What are some of the low to mid-priced gifts ($10 - $150) that you have asked for or received over the years that are sailing or nautically related?

Agree with all the nice things said above, but I would still slip in a HR43 at the end of the list.
