Are "Adult" content matter warnings

Needed on some of this off topic stuff?? I'm sure there are kids reading this forum too, not that there is anyway to keep it from kids.

I think we need to agree on a definition for "Adult Content" before we can proceed with the discussion, or we will not know what we are talking about; I nominate SD, CD, SA, Giu, Hoffa, Cam, and Denise, for the committee. Do I have a second . . . .

Hmmm... SD, CD, SA, Giu, Hoffa, Cam and Denise? Why these users?? Do you have any specific reason that they'd be more qualified than other users?

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Just random, but after some thought, that group would probably never agree on a definition; it could be fun with the banter though!!

I'm having Deja Vu all over again.

The wee kiddies can find far more offensive material elsewhere than they'll ever find here. (other than the Bluebottles taste in music anyway.)

I've been really offended by some of TDW's posts. Some of them contain pictures of wombats relaxing "post-coitally" -- with cigarettes, and real satisfied looks on their faces. One of them looks like Elvis Presley after a night in the Jungle Room with a bunch of 16 year olds! I mean, really! I can tell you one thing for sure: I don't like it!

Putting an "Adult Content" warning on something is usually the best way to attract kids to it.

Certainly works on me!

Off topic thread has warnings stuck at the top. I see very little kid action on this site other than Giu's very carefully moderated access for Fred. Futhermore...kids would have to dig pretty hard to come up with something interesting. Google is a lot easier! We don't tolerate nudity or cuss words or personal attacks and our banter does not get graphic. What here would interest the average 13 year old?
Finally...this is a site for adult sailors. If PARENTS find objectionable stuff here for their kids...then they should limit their kids access.
