Just wanted to send my best wishes and hope along with everyone else here. It's hard to find the right words but just know another person out there is pulling for your family.

Hi Mike, You have two amazing daughters who, along with yourself, are teaching all of us what love, strength, compassion and family really mean. I'm truly in awe of you all and you are in my thoughts every day.

All my best, John

Exclamation Sorry Dad

This is Michaels daughter Carrie. He left himself logged in and I had to post a reply. Thank you to everyone that has responded to this thread. Thanks for all the love, support, prayers and well wishes. It warms my heart to think that so many people from so many different walks of life put aside time in their day to send us a thought. I am thankful my father has a wonderful thing such as this forum to vent his frustrations, his comedy but most of all his heart. So dad if you read this, thank you for your words. I wouldnt have it any other way. Courtney and I are happy. As long as we have each other we have peace. So forget about that damn Uhaul bill, everything happens for a reason and Im here for a special purpose.......

? So - how is she really doing? Its been awhile since the last update and some of us - we do keep tabs even if we are not outspoken well wishers..It is not that we do not care to be but sometimes the same repeating of words loses meaning.. but we all care..

So how is she right now? We hope the best...

It is 4:30 am Chicago Time. I have been here since Monday with the girls. I stated to make coffee and I see that Carrie has posted to the thread. There is something about being with my daughter's, I just can't quite put into words. But I like being here!

Courtney's health: She is a very sick young lady. She is fighting for her life. Last week was not a good week for her. This week things seem to be a little better. She is in bed most of the day dozing off and on, It is because of her medications. She has chemo on Friday and that takes a lot out of her.

I did a crazy thing last month when I was out here, I bought Cubs tickets. I did not know if we would ever be able to use them, but I bought them anyway.

Well, Tuesday we all went to the Game. The Cubs won 8 to 1 over the Mets. GO! CUBS! Courtney slept most of the game away against my shoulder. But, we got her out of the house and into the fresh air and sunshine. It was a beautiful spring day and I was the lucky man who got to share it with 2 beautiful young ladies at Wrigley Field. I am blessed!

Carrie - there's really nothing I can say that would properly describe what a wonderful sister and human being you are. You have my admiration.

Mike - you and your wife deserve a lot of credit for raising two wonderful daughters. Should I ever get the chance to meet all of you, it will be my great honor to do so. In a world where everyone seems to be a victim anymore, your family stands tall and proud.

tweitz is on a distinguished road
So many of us while away our time fretting about small things. Your generous posts remind us all how precious and fragile life and love are and how we should never fail to appreciate them when we have them. I join with the many others whose prayers and thoughts are with you. Fair winds.
