Auld Lang Syne
Ok, so what does it mean? Mark Steyn, a man of many parts, writes a column on the premise of the song of the week. Nobody, even the Wombat, should know this much about songs. This week's song is Auld Lang Syne by Robert Burns. An entertaining read that manages to expand on the notion that the Scots invented the modern world, although Steyn doesn't say that, and I stole the idea from somebody else who's written a book about it that I haven't gotten around to reading yet, but just might in '08 or '09, or tomorrow if it keeps snowing. Happy New Year and enjoy. http://www.steynonline.com/content/view/832/28/
