Lisbon-Dakar rallye cancelled, due to Al Qaeda threats

Every year, in the first days of January we have what is now the Lisbon-Dakar rallye, used to be Paris-Dakar rallye.

A Rallye for off road vehicles that race from Europe to Dakar, Senegal in Africa, passing many many African Countries, that benefit from this off course. Its a very very prestigious car rallye race in Europe and in the World. There are Americans too.

This year, it was supposed to start today, and Lisbon is hosting it again, and its a kaos here, but all happy.

Well, bad news...it was cancelled....

Al-Qaeda thretened to kill the French people racing once they entered Mauritania.

The race was cancelled for security reasons..

To me, the enemy has won.....not us.

T...you know my joking with the French and my "hate" are but jokes..I mean and don't want harm to anyone, even French...

I am really sad, because the rallye really helps these people (off course it helps the racers and rallye people more), but the rallye passes thru these countries, where nothing but war and fighting and hunger happens, it brings joy, money and jobs...

Its a win/win for everyone...sad....sad....

They don't even love themselves.....damn them...really...I mean damn them terrorists, and I hope God, if he is just, to wipe these idiots once and for all...

That's nothing short of pathetic, as this is one of the most prestigious and exciting races in the world.

Looks like appeasement doesn't work -- SURPRISE -- for if anyone has bent over backwards to stay out of this fight and argue for dialogue vs military force, or has gone out of its way to make the case Re immigration from these countries to Europe/the West, it's France.

Note also how this isn't a we hate the US thing, a we hate Israel thing, or a call to arms because infidels are on Holly Ground thing: it's just naked nihilism, and there's only one way to deal with that sort of thing. And God won't do it, Giu. It's up to us.

By taking a principled stand from here on out. We should also apologize for not taking that stand when it would've prevented all this BS in the first place. We can start by apologizing for surrendering the oil wells, the Suez, etc., to a culture that's the mirror image of Europe during her Dark Ages.

Look, I'm a member of Al Qaeda. I'll talk to the guys and we'll see if we can get the race back on. I'll throw around Hoffa's name -- kind of make it look like you guys are angry enough to do something crazy, like you might actually send him our way. In the meantime, just keep your cool...
