Check your landlords references!!!

Some of you may remember my psyco landlord post (waiting till the 14th before I file suit). So, those nutjobs asked me to move out 22 days after we moved in, and are refusing to return my 1 month prepaid rent. Fine.. see em in court.

However, my landlord before that is now causing me quite a bit of frustration. They left town 6 months ago to visit family and have not returned. They do still have a residence here (next to my old rental). I had the place professionally cleaned, sent them pictures, their buddy came and took over the place. I've been waiting for my deposit 36 days and it hasn't come. Tried calling them 3 times, leaving messages and no reply over the last week. Sent an email, no reply.

These people were nice, and I don't have any issues with them, and I don't think they have any issues with us. So my question is, how long should I wait without hearing from them before I sue them too????

No particular reason but I would give them 90 days. After that have a lawyer send them a nasty letter.
