Couple of BC powders or alka-setzer followed by some really greasy breakfast food.

Despite many late night sessions with Mr. Daniels, Mr. Beam, assorted cousins of the agave plant and lately a host of fine dark rum's I've never, ever even been dehydrated, yet alone suffered a hangover. Perhaps I'm just blessed with hangover proof genes. Alcholoism runs in the family, so maybe I'm cursed with that gene, but blessed with a cut off valve. I don't like being drunk, just like the taste not the effect.

Beer on the other hand messes me up. As a rule I don't drink it. When I did drink beer - when nothing else was available and I wanted to be one of the guys - I found that other than getting up and getting drunk quickly with some good booze, the best after party fix up was to lay in bed and moan the next day - eventually it went away.

I second BC powders and greasy foods.

Alcohol itself is a depressant (whether or not you get depressed when you first drink it doesnt matter). Dactors say combat depressant with and anti depressant like coffee, coke or anything with caffine in it.

You get a hangover because the alcohol dehydrates you. So the best prevention is if you know you are going to drink one night, the day before make a point to drink plenty of fluids. About halfway through the night, sneak yourself a bottle of water and chug it so that no-one sees you doing this(myself and my freinds would make fun of you, but I do it). Then, att he end of the night (if you are able) drink another bottle/glass of water or as much as you can handle. Maybe eat a little bit also, this really helps. Things that will soak up the alcohol are usually best, bread, crackers and things of that sort.

These seems to help myself and my freinds.

I have found tracer rounds impacting my position, RPG impacts, and 2000lb bombs from close air support seem to take my mind off my hang over.

Other than that, lots of water and asprin before I go to sleep usually works.

Yeah, watching tracers come floating in slowly only to flash by when they get there is a bit disconcerting.

Yep , it's mostly about water.

Dehydration and to much sugar intake.

Or you could just set your alarm clock to wake you every 2 hours and have another drink..

When I was young it always seemed another beer right when I got up helped.
