Sci-fi tech design geek stuff, book (not sailing)

Just at the book store and found this amazing industrial design book. Its Cosmic Motors, by Daniel Simon. For those of you who grew up like me, designing cars, boats, house, spaceships, etc on paper and with a pile of modified model parts, this book is for you. I haven't gotten into it enough yet to follow his technique, but it appears to be all drawings(I see now that some are digital models). They are so realistic! And what an imagination. I used to draw motorbikes, then build them out of old bike parts and fiberglass. They would weigh anywhere from 30-70 lbs! I started a whole club when I was younger. There was a model show at the mall by my house. I would go every month and look at the models all lined up, each one looking exactly like the picture on the box. How boring, i thought. So, I went in the store and bought about three different models and built my own machine. It even had upholstery! I entered it in the show, didn't win any prizes, but from then on the show was never the same. Later on in life I toyed with idea of going into industrial design at the Art Center in LA.
Check out his site too, Danielsimon.net

I am not affiliated in anyway with this.
