Cruisingdad is a jewel in the rough Cruisingdad is a jewel in the rough Cruisingdad is a jewel in the rough
MORE Outrage in Council BUFF

Here was Giu, minding his own business, trying to earn a living like he always has...

When a customer walks up. A sweet, nice old lady who would like to buy some of his "product"...

But she said with his looks she should get a discount... three-for-one...

But Giu refuses. Two-for-one would have been fine, but his goods are worth more than three-for-one!!! A fight ensues and Giu finally changes his mind. But for that kind of a DEEP discount, they will have to come up to his room AND will have to pay upfront. He calls this program "LAID AWAY" (his English is not very good... he is Port, well, you know).

Then the time comes. He sets the backdrop in his room (a poster that looks like a sailboat to set the 'mood'). A knock on the door, and he answers it smiling...

THE CUSTOMERS REVOLT!!! THAT SCARY VIEW IS NOT WHAT THEY PAID FOR!!!! THE HOTEL LIGHTING SHOWED WAY TOO MANY DISGUSTING FLAWS (that were not apparent under the makeup)!!! ONE CUSTOMER EVEN GETS SICK AT THE VISION!!!! A FIGHT ENSUES AS THEY WANT THEIR MONEY BACK...

"NO RETURNS!!! JUST RE-FUN!!" Giu screams (his English is not good, he is Port, well, you know).

But the smart Americans don't "buy it". They grab anything around them to get even, including his computer. It was very sad as Giu was terribly mistreated. He gets dressed, calls the hotel police, and explains the story to them...

They do not take him serious for some reason. It was very unfair.
Now he has almost nothing. No one will listen to him. No one cares.... only his friends here at Sailnet. It is very sad that this is all he has left. So if you see this poor man walking down the road...

Take pity on him. Throw him some money. He needs it. But listen very closely: IF HE ASKS YOU FOR A LIFT OR A RIDE... DRIVE AWAY QUICKLY... cause it isn't what you think... his English is not very... well, you know.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

And here I thought that maybe G had one of those "RED" Dell laptops and in his excitement of actually being touched without needing photoshop - mistakenly got carried away then realized - Not a single Sailnet member - and gave it to the maid worried that his reputation would be ruined if we found out - but didn't want to explain on his customs exit - what happened to the laptop and so is making up the whole stolen while sleeping story....

Cam your story is so much more VIVID Wish though I had the skills to surplant G's face on overlay of that superbowl commercial....

I thought you already had one of those... lobotomies that is.

What you really need is Psychlorox.
