Carribean Vacation March

Hello,

A friend and I were planning a Caribbean vacation in Mid-March for about five days (not a sailing charter unfourtunately). We are seniors in high school so we have a very low budget. I was wondering if any of you had any recommendations of any Caribbean destinations that would be cheap and have a thriving nightlife in mid-March.

I don't know very much about the islands but I was thinking about either Aruba, Dominican Republic, Anguilla, or Cancun in Mexico.

Thanks,
Spencer

At that age you can't go wrong with Cancun, my kids (a wee bit older than you) loved spring break there, and you'll find package deals that might fit your budget.

Our (then) high-school aged kids both favored Cancun - for a variety of reasons. Five hour non-stop flight from Boston, relatively inexpensive week-long vacation when charter-booked through a school group, and - most hotels are all-inclusive, beach-front party palaces.

Keep in mind that all-inclusive includes food AND booze - i don't think they fully recovered from that trip until months later. Matter of fact, my wife and I continued to go there each winter (70 miles south in Playa Del Carmen) for years as well.

Yes so I have heard!

Is anyone familiar with Aruba, Dominican Republic, or Anguilla?

Thanks,
Spencer
