Scotch, anyone?
Sway's cigar thread got me thinking on another vice: Scotch. I'm curious about everyone else's likes and dislikes where this amber nectar is concerned. I like the sweeter single malts neat and the smokier ones on the rocks. My personal favorite is Laphroaig, a bold and smoky single malt that is surprisingly smooth at only 10 years old. As far as whiskey is concerned, though I may go to hell for it, I prefer Scotch over all others, including (heaven help me) Irish whiskey.

We are of the same mind there, Max--Woodford reserve is the only bourbon I will drink, but I confess I originally bought it for baking  And I like the original cask strength Laphroaig as well. So much for SailNet controversy--wholehearted agreement doesn't make for terribly exciting threads, but there you have it.

Something I'm totally unqualified to give an opinion on, as I've never enjoyed the taste of liquour. I don't even care for the smell.

Mine would be Bushmills Malt 10 yrs is affordable 21 yrs is glorious.
