Searching for this boat

I am searching for my childhood boat someone out there knows where it is:
The hull is a Discovery 42 purchased in Vancouver BC Canada around 1972

The deck and topsides (Green) where designed by family friend Naval architect William Garden who later designed the Truant 33 and 37 for my father.

The boat was built in 1972-1973 by my father Michel Betts in Sidney BC Canada.

As a family we cruised around Vancouver island then down to Panama canal and through then back to BC.

The boat was then sold. and my father started Truant marine building the Truant 33.

boat was last seen mid 90's in Victoria BC

Oberon, also king of the fairies and the seelie court. If you're a sci-fi reader, you might recognize him as the former king of Zelazny's Amber.

Does Canada have a national boat registration system that you can look boats up by name in. If it were a USCG documented boat, you could do a name search.

Oberon O class British submarine my father was a submariner all are boats were named after British submarines.

I did. It got me to thinking about boat names and Science Fiction. A month ago on Jost Van Dyke I dinghied over to a small cruiser named "Dorsai" and discussed military tactics of error with the proud owner

BTW, checked the USCG site, and only two USCG documented boats named Oberon, both in Texas.

Oberon is a very distinctive. Unfortunately I haven't seen her yet in my cruising the west coast but I will keep my eyes open.

For Jimmyb116. I am a childhood (Teenage +) friend from Holbrook in UK of Michael Betts. He was a submariner, as was his father while I was R.A.F. Would like to hear any news of him or his family. I knew he was in Bc and had something connected with marine activities. I have a card "Truant Marine".
