Tell us how you 'made' your user id

Come on folks, some of you have interesting user names on the forum.
Share.

ChucklesR is pretty normal - my name is Chuck and my last name starts with the letter R.
And of course I occasionally delude myself by believing I have a good sense of humor.

Your turn.

Tell.

Mine's pretty boring - used the last boat's name. It was archdiver before that though . . . for obvious reasons. Now, I'm at a crossroads over a new user id, or moniker change.

Mine came from an old friend. She used to call me PB (and no, I'm not telling what it stands for, but it's not peanut butter), but since I needed to make it different than other PB's, I added the "zeer". If I was starting fresh or on a new forum, I'd use the boat name.

I did this:

In the sailnet register page, in the rectangle that says USER ID, I typed G, then I, then U, the L, then typed I again, then an E, T after another T and finally an A.

It was pretty easy

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Mine evolved. Way back when, in the days of a thing called Usenet I started calling myself Townes which was a nod to Townes van Zandt the songwriter who was something of a hero of mine. To avoid confusion with others I added the Wombat, the D is pure affectation, got bored with that so shortened it to TDW. Ta Dah.

Gee I bet you're glad you asked.
