I'm amazed you don't get sick with all this change of climate you go through.

Alex,

Ottawa is a really nice city, in winter and summer. Not much to do at the airport though (Although there is a Tim Horton's, for real coffee you want a "Timothy's" or a "Second Cup").

If you really have 5 hours, you can take a taxi ride into town (about 30 minutes, depending on traffic, to Parliament Hill and the Rideau Centre (also close to the Rideau Canal for skating) and about $30 one way.

If you chose the Rideau canal you might be able to rent skates at Dow's Lake (Part of the Rideau Canal skating rink) - which is closer to the airport - only about 20 minutes. you can buy a Beaver tail as well (a local treat).

If you just want to walk around, you can go to the Rideau Centre or the Byward Market (right beside the Rideau Centre) - also about 20-25 minutes from the airport. You can get the kids some Ottawa Senators hockey jerseys (my kids favourite team).

The Rideau Centre/Byward Market also has some nice stuff for Giuletta (not the boat) .

I should be back home (i.e Ottawa region) in September. If you come back through after then, I'll treat you.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Have safe flights back to your homeland Giu.

Hopefully, you will take adequate steps to prevent your new laptop from getten stolen from your carry-on, as you sleep on the plane. If so, we'll all eagerly await the impending onslaught of SailNetter caricatures upon your arrival.

Yesterday, I got to hear first hand the retelling of the incident about how the ass hit the ground. I could not stop laughing! The voice on the other end of the conversation repeated several times, "Its not funny. Stop laughing." The more he said that the more I laughed.

Have a safe flight home.
