Why I am no longer a "brain-dead liberal" by David Mamet

The noted playwright offers an unexpected review of how life in these United States works. Regardless of your political point of view, you won't find things described any better than here. Ironic that former liberals are always conservatism's best apologists. The most well thought out column I've read in a year, excusing the profanity.

I was ready to post the link, when I found you had beat me to it Sway. Indeed, an excellent article.

I got it from Drudge .... the best portal for the right, or left. He has links to both ends of the spectrum and everything in between.

I've actually purchased two copies of the Village Voice in my lifetime. and I didn't even have fish to wrap! I'll read some of their stuff, as I will The Nation, but I won't contribute money to do so. In this case, I found it on Drudge.

So basically Mamet reviewed his prejudices and changed his mind. Good for him. I hope, however, that he hasn't simply adapted a fresh set of prejudices. In my experience, doctrinaire, uncritical thinking is found like bands of darkness in the political spectrum at most points, and is exactly how politics mirrors religion.
