You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I'm getting visions of SD's computer work station, consisting of a 32" HD wide-screen monitor, capable of having dozens of nautical resource websites open at once, all immediately accessible for his posting research.
Stacked around the desk are volumes of sailing books and gear catalogs, all indexed for quick retrieval of whatever subject requires answering.
When on the road, his truck cab is set up for wireless Internet and a laptop positioned on the console. His PDA allows 24/7 access to SailNet, even when in bed . . . which is futile anyway, since he admits to being an insomniac. We'd all have to be cyborgs to keep up with him.

TB-
It's only a 30" monitor...and if I could find a larger one... I probably wouldn't get it... this one is too damn big to begin with. However, it must be a genetic thing, since my nephew uses a 37" HDTV for the monitor for his gaming PC that I gave him for his fifth birthday.
Some of the time, I'm on the road at different client sites with slower, but usable internet access... and I'm working on upgrading the WiFi setup at the marina so I can get some work done while staying aboard the boat.

My downfall is, since my office workspace (and ongoing projects) shares the monitor with that little Sailnet icon, it's hard to resist clicking on it every so often . . . as you obviously know. (g)
