Left Oriental on Saturday at 4am. Made it all the way to Alligator Marina (end of Alligator River) by 645pm. Great weather.. and sailing in the Alligator river.. even had some cloth up through the never ending Pongo Canal...

Spent a dayin Alligator marina... Waiting for the weather to "improve".... (at least the sun was shining today...!)

I crossed the Albemarle today in 20 - 25kts N NE.Talk about W E T.

This evening's Irish music and good beer are well earned by Dad, Eric (my brother) and myself.

Next toast to them!

We're just past the first bridge North of the Albemarle at a tiny "Marina like" location.. heh.

I confess.. I'm enjoying German beer...(Dad's from Bavaria.. it's Mom that's from Galway..) but I'm listening to Solas! The *best* Irish trad band EVER...!

Nice going Craig...You're in Coinjock...go for the 32 oz prime rib at the restaurant!! Get a VERY early start tomorrow or you will get trapped by the Norfolk bridge closings for rush hour till 6:30!! Schedule here:

The closings start at 3:30pm...so you must be though the Great Bridge Canal by ONE THIRTY!

We may actually take it easy tomorrow... We're gonna stop at Centreville and drop my brother off.. so he can get a taxi to the airport... We're still gonna try to make that schedule by starting at first light tomorrow.. But we've enough time built into the schedule either way! (I use that link... you've sent it to me once before! Thanks!)

130 Great Bridge Canal...

Mom boiled some corned beef (in cabbage soup.. or something) and sent it along...um It was um well .. um.

I mean.. I love my mom.. but. Well. it really stunk up the cooler bad.. and well... there was this big wave...see..

Tonight we had chicken noodle soup and nachos. Heh.. and pastrami sandwiches. That's like corned beef right? Kinda?
