San Francisco honors communism

Just when you thought that the addled minds that run things in San Francisco could do no worse, they do. It's just the first sign of the rehabilitation of the leftist thinking of the sixties and earlier. Having been thoroughly trounced by history an attempt will now be made to equate communism with such benign entities as the Flat Earth Society. Revisionism is the order of the day. Denials of Stalin and Mao's genocides will appear in due course. People with no historical knowledge will hear of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade and assume that the great man's name couldn't possibly have been pilfered for an unworthy cause. The fact is that communism killed far more people than fascism ever did and these people would have you believe it never happened or it, somehow, happened for a greater cause. The term fellow traveller and Stalin's own description of these people, "useful idiots" should not be forgotten when hearing their revisions.

The process that produces the Bay area's political leadership becomes more clear.

Sway, sincerely, if you want to get really frustrated, go play golf. At least you'll get outdoors. Its just not worth the aggravation.

You may remember this warning from years ago. It had to do with becoming numb or desensitized. Has it happened to you yet? There are so many diseases to walk for, heroes to monument, causes to donate to, actions to protest, and ideals to march for, I just don't care anymore! As I have said before, the Bay Area is the center of the universe in that matter. Too many groups to appease in order to go in any one direction for any length of time. Therefore, the City and surrounding Towns just spin themselves into obliteration.

One of the comment posters on the SFgate site stated that we should stop erecting monuments in public, to war, and instead erect monuments to peace and social service. Peace I could see, but social service? Okay, how about a monument of paramedics taking a homeless person to General Hospital, all on the taxpayer's dime.
