Randy Castro, sex offender, encounters the forces of Political Correctness

Perhaps recent events in Texas make a bit more sense, at least in terms of the state's thinking, when it is observed what else is going on in the US. Zero tolerance makes sense when issued by parents to children as policy. In the hands of the state, well, it leads to things like this: http://article.nationalreview.com/?q...Y3ZjRkNjQ1ZDI=

You cannot make this stuff up.

Well Sailaway at last we agree and the National Spectator is not entirely without merit. It is a pity they had to spoil it with this ending "Senator Obama removed the delegate from his campaign, had her encased in a cement overcoat and lowered into the Chicago River. He, too, operates a “zero tolerance” policy." Perhaps it is American humor.

You're right, even Monty Python would pass on this as being too ridiculous. However:

"Sixteen months ago, a school official in Texas accused a four-year-old of sexual harassment after the boy was observed pressing his face into the breasts of a teacher’s aide when he hugged her before boarding the school bus."

I say give the kid a medal. Mark Steyn too.

Down here in the islands....it's not uncommon to see a mother smack an unruly kid across the butt in the parking lot of the grocery store. And if he keeps wailing, she'll smack him again. And he'll shut up.

And nobody bats an eye. Gasp. The US would take the kid away from her, and give it to someone more politically correct to raise while she did her jail time.

Hello 1984. Goodbye America.

The article is from the National Review and the writer, a resident of New Hampshire, is Canadian. His sense of humour is quite droll.
