What's with the flags?

Country of origin flags show up occasionally on our posts and then disappear for awhile. Yesterday Val an I were beating each other about the head and shoulders in Off Topic and he under the Canadian Maple Leaf and your humble servant under Old Glory. Today our colors have been mysteriously struck. What's up with that?

Good question.

The ONLY time I've ever seen mine is when I was somewhere in the "CP". I've never seen mine on the regular thread screens, and I only sometimes see other folks'.

The other one I wonder about is the "Location" heading. I don't seem to have that option available to me, hence it's inclusion in my signature.

The only flag I ever see is my own, and that is only on rare occasion; I've had the same question myself. Right now I see no flags on the thread.

Edit - no flag, even upon my first viewing. But, I agree that it's appearance is erratic at best.

I'm going to change my location to Zimbabwe or something and see if it comes up. I noted some weeks ago that Cam does seem to be seeing them while I was not. weird.

I see no flags anywhere, for anyone, in this thread. Some people have a "location" in their header, but I do not.

Cam, are you messing with us?
