Any RO gurus on the forum???

We need to source a 3000 gpd desalination system for the house. Do any of you guys have a lead for good pricing for a high pressure RO system?

A bit more info would help. Will this be powered via the electric mains, or do you have a need for it to be powered via a diesel engine or other source. Just curious, how could you possibly need THREE THOUSAND gallons per day???

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Electric mains. And we don't need three thousand gallons a day. We need one thousand gallons a day. But it would not be very smart to run an RO 24 hours a day to get it, for a variety of reasons.

Even a thousand gallons a day is a lot for a household... I take it some of this is going to be used for irrigation of some sort.

i assume you have a huge space. I have a 300 gpd system and it takes an area 12w x 20l X 8h space.

Could be more capacity than you're looking for, but this could fit the bill.

Normal water consumption within the US is calculated at 70 gallons per day per person. You runnin' a hotel?

Our normal household water usage has been running between 150 and 170 gallons a day for over two years here. That average includes the odd weeks when we have guests. That's what brings it up to the 170 peaks.

I need a thousand gallons a day to establish quite a bit of landscaping on a very exposed limestone rock hilltop, where we built a house. Then the requirement will drop about 25-30% in three months. Then again in six months, etc. This max 1000 gpd is for the initial three month period, during the dry season ( i.e. NO rain) until some 150 trees and assorted other bushes and stuff establish root systems. It is also intended to help the natural vegetation recover from the construction process.

As for available space, this system is for an acre on a hilltop. Not a boat. We don't like what had to be done in order to build the house, and we feel a responsibility to help the landscape recover. Takes lots of water.

The house is the one on the left in this (bad) aerial taken through the window of a 737. The strange things on the water are reflections from inside the airplane windows.

That's worth a few bucks to clean up our mess, don't you think?
