Rays are for real

Pretty emotional and moving lead-up to the All Star game last night. The game wasn't too bad either.
What a collection of legends on the field. Mrs. Knothead even got a little misty as they introduced some of the older ones.
A fitting tribute to a great game and a historic stadium.
NY did good.

And how about that Ray's rookie third baseman who tied the game for the AL?

I'm not a big fan of the NY fan's. Booing all the Red Sox players was not called for in my opinion.

I don't disagree but I kinda think it's more just tradition than animosity.
It would have been nice to see em rise above it though.
And maybe they were just yelling YOOOOK and DreWWWW and Pedroiaaaaa, well that last one didn't work too well.

I loved it when they were chanting "O-Ver-Rated" at Papelbon and then he struck out the batter with 95mph high heat. You could hear those old seats creaking as everyone sat back down.

Yeah, you guys and the Indians seem to have our number.
The Rays play like the worst first place team in history sometimes. But I keep reminding myself where they were last year at this time.

We shall see. I would feel better if we had our regular third baseman and left fielder but the Rays have won the last four series they've played without them. Three on the road too.
But whatever happens, it's sure to be fun.
May the best team win; as long as it's not the Red Sox.
