Just got home from one of the best baseball games in this cities history.
I've got one thing to say,
Look out Knotty, The White Sox are coming to Tampa!

Didn't I tell you to believe. 
The Rays are 6-4 against the White Sox this year, but, as has been alluded to, statistics often are rather meaningless in Oct.
Whatever happens, I am going to enjoy it.
Whether it's because of all the negative stuff going on in the world like the war in Iraq, and the war between the candidates, or the crappy economy and fact that my business is just barely hanging in there. Or just the fact that I don't get enough sailing in my life anymore. Baseball, Sailnet, (and rum), have filled a need for me this year by providing a way to "forget about life for awhile".
The way the Rays have performed this year has made it easy to get into.
I am certain that the playoffs will not disappoint me. Even if the Rays, for some inexplicable reason, don't win the World Series in five. 
Congratulations on you're team's success, and please tell Guillen to keep Piersinsky on a short leash while he's in town.

Its going to be fun.
The way we finished the season, I was not real enthusiastic, but after these past three games, anything can happen. I like our chances. Its going to be a good playoff series. I'll check in with you tomorrow.

Round one went to Knotty's team.
I hope we pitch better in Round two.
Mark Buehrle should be a big improvment over the egg that Javier laid on Thursday.
Did you see the pitches he was grooving in there to Longoria.
May as well have placed the ball on a tee.

And the second... still, the Angels are the only team I'm not counting out down two to zip.
Both Chicago teams are in serious distress.
Milwaukee at least has going home to look forward to, and a glimmer of hope.
