But, there is some allure to that cap . . . can't put my finger on it though.

If you ever come down for a game, I'll buy you one. Even if you won't wear it.
Still can't figure out what you like about it though??

My buddy still loves the Sox but he is willing to support the home team. At least during the regular season.
I don't know how he's going to act if the Rays and Sox meet in the playoffs though.

What the hell was that? I go to the boat for the weekend only to see that we lost 3 in a row. Sounds like all the games were very tight and down to the wire. Thank god we won Thrusday's game.
Hey Knothead, I hope we do see you again. We'll make a better showing next time. Damn Sox.

When in Boston, you ain't just facing the Red Sox, you're facing Red Sox nation too.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

That's true. But our guys should be used to it. It's the same when the Sox come here.
This area hasn't embraced their home team.
It's hard to blame the fans too much though. This is really the first season that the Rays have performed very well.
The Ray's have one of the worst attendance records in the Majors. Except when the Sox or Yankees come to town. But then it's all their fans.
Maybe when they return from this home trip, now that school is out, things will be better.
That is if we have a winning trip.
It's not starting out too good. But at least we are losing to the best. (since last night)

The Rays put on a good fight last night, but unfortunately for them, the Sox bumped them down to second place.

Two down, one to go. Starting an hour earlier tonight, so we don't keep them up past their bedtime . . . .

Well, they are a young group of guys after all.

Oh BTW. What is the Red Sox record this year at Tropicana Field?

Seriously, I think that the Sox manager was masterful last night.

wannam is on a distinguished road
Five of us attended the game at Fenway last night. Good game, great atmosphere in spite of the damp chilly weather. Fenway Park, a Fenway frank and a cold beer all while watching a good game between two excellent teams. Does it get any better than that on a cool June night in Beantown?

Probably not.
Though a close second might be a miserably hot and humid July evening in St. Pete and entering the air conditioned Tropicana Field.
Ditto on the beer and hotdog.
