Rays are for real

I took four of my nieces and nephews to watch the Rays sweep the Red Sox this last Sunday. First time ever. The game was in St. Pete and it was a lot of fun watching the Sox fans, who were, as usual, in the majority, start leaving at the top of the eighth.
I'm watching the Rays beat Baltimore right now. (I hope they split the series)
You Yankee and Red Sox fans had better watch your backs this year.
The Rays are for real.

I know it's still early. Don't burst my bubble.

You guys will have to forgive me but I'm psyched.

The Ray have won 8 of the last 9, took 2 out of three at Camden Yards, are 4 games over 500 for the first time in their history.

Now they go to Fenway. I think they will do well because they are used to the Sox having the home field advantage whenever they come to Florida.

Hey, can I help it if I love baseball?

People who complain about baseball being a boring game are the same people who don't like sailboats because they're too slow.

Wankers, the lot of them. A bunch of baseball hating; commie pinkos! They can bite me. I'll still be posting in this thread when all the Yankee and Sox fans are crying in their beers in Oct.

The Rays have the best record in the A.L!!!.
New territory for them.

How about sending a batter or two over to Toronto. The Jays are "hitting" .209 with runners in scoring position. 31 innings of shut out baseball - too bad it's the Jays who were were shut out. And to think they fired last year's hitting coach.

You're on your own.

All our guys are happy here in Tampa Bay.

Maybe you can talk to NY about A-Rod. They might like to get out of that contract.

We don't have professional baseball in Texas.

We do have basketball . . . wait . . . choked in the playoffs

We do have football . . . wait . . . choked in the playoffs

We do have hockey . . . wait . . . choked in the playoffs

We do have curling . . . wait . . . they're actually pretty good.

Wait, we're on a three game winning streak.
Meanwhile, the Jays have been wasting some of the best starting pitching in baseball. A-Rod? Hell, he makes more than the entire Jays payroll. Only New York can afford him.

The Dallas Stars won last night - held off the inevitable for one more game. No disrespect, but I can't wait to see a Pittsburgh - Detroit Stanley Cup final.
